Short Description

Hiking, wine and world heritage sites: This trip through Southern Catalonia packs a punch and perfectly complements our journey through Northern Catalonia.  Arrival and departure are from Barcelona.  Our emphasis is on easy to demanding hikes through limestone mountains with cultural highlights.

Sierra de Montsant is a mountain range full of surprises and we'll hike on the Cistercian route to the convent of Poblet, a UNESCO world heritage site. Discover Tarragona with us, the coastal town dating from Roman times, the Ebro Delta with its flamingos and migratory birds right in the middle of one of the largest rice cultivation areas in Spain.

Additionally, a visit to the "Cathedral of Cava" in the Modernism style and a renowned bodega in the Priorat county.  Secluded mountain villages and the Carthusian monastery of Santa Maria d'Escaladei.
